ATF Harassment via Ebay

Thank you for your site!

I bought 2 coke bottle adapters on eBay for my walther .22....can you believe that 2 ATF agents showed up at my door demanding them back, or they'd prosecute me?

When I asked him about obtaining silencers and my effort to locate class 3 dealers, my local chief of police, etc., the lead guy said that "no chief of police or sheriff is going to sign your form 1, because it just doesn't make any sense"....(i.e. "doesn't make any sense" to own machine guns or silencers)(Maybe they should stop lying to us, and just say we can't have them if thats the case) so I said I wonder how everybody in the 35 or so states that permit them got theirs....no answer.....what forms do I need and where do I get them.....no answer....they just went silent and wouldn't answer my questions...I reminded him that in Scandinavia you are expected to use a silencer to avoid noise pollution/common courtesy for your neighbors, and that I was surprised my car hasn't been vandalized by locals in the 'new subdivision' built where I shoot (out in the forest) because I make so much noise..

the 'little' agent said that I should maybe move out of state, and I said I'd have to if they pass SB 5475 or 5593 which ban new semi auto weapons and register currently owned ones, while 5593 does the same for .50 bmg rifles...

I'd love to be the forensic psychologist that deconstructs the mental framework of a typical atf agent...what would cause someone to not only apply for the gig, but relish their job with full motivation...the lead agent was about 6'4", maybe 250 lbs....looked like he'd take all comers in a bar room brawl and was a True Believer....the other was a pony-tailed, pug faced sassy little prick that probably worked vice in the Rainier Valley up here in seattle....

Basically, its not about justice or even feeling that you are actually doing good or accomplishing something with these guys, its just an ego/power trip in which they get to flash their badge, enter your home while asking "May we come in?" (yes they did that), threaten you, and then take your expensive stuff and leave, and display booty to their superiors to justify their worthless existence...SEE, WE'RE CLEANING UP THE RIFF RAFF and are getting these evil, evil weapons off the street, and no you shouldn't disband us, and we need more funding for FY2005.....

I sent my NRA membership app and check in the other day, and the above was the reason....My already negative opinion of atf was confirmed and enforced....but also, you know the FBI works hand in hand with them, and you have to wonder how far gone they are....how far to the left are they leaning....if they would prosecute an american with more vigor than an arab/muslim/immigrant in a "hate crime" case, you have your answer, and can judge how seriously in trouble we are....
